In an effort to make theological education more affordable, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will offer a 50 percent discount on tuition to student spouses effective with the Summer 2013 semester. This discount is available to whichever spouse is enrolled in fewer academic hours during a given semester. It applies only to tuition for on-campus courses. It will be added to the Cooperative Program scholarship which covers 50 percent of the tuition for members of Southern Baptist churches.
If you serve on staff at a local church for at least 20 hours per week, we will waive the internet registration fee ($270 per course) for all classes, which is approximately 30% off the regular cost of tuition and fees. In order to receive the discount, students must complete and submit the eligibility application form located here.
Local church staff members can also lock in their tuition price. So if you applied right now, you could lock in your full degree for $7,200, then pay in 24 consecutive monthly installments, but complete the required courses for your degree over the next three years.
