Ice Cream Social

7-9PM | The RAC(Campus-wide)

The Ice Cream Social is a great time to connect with incoming and current students in a fellowship atmosphere. There will be free ice cream sundaes, cookies, and drinks for everyone who attends. There will also be bounce houses available for children.


Monday, August 24

College Orientation

10AM-4PM | The Riley Center (For all new college students)

Women's Dinner

6-8PM | Seelig Banquet Room (Campus-wide)

The Women’s Dinner is a great time for students and student wives to fellowship with one another and learn more about the programs available for women at Southwestern. Those who attend will be able to hear from our President’s wife, Mrs. Patterson and will have the opportunity to meet many of our female faculty and faculty wives. A free taco bar will be available for the first 250 women in attendance. Childcare will be available in the Naylor Children’s Center

Men's BBQ

6-8PM | Pecan Manor Lawn (Campus-wide)

The Men’s BBQ is one of our most exciting times of the semester! All Southwestern men are invited to come and share in a time of fellowship together. We will have several outdoor competitions, sponsored by Pure Adventure Ministries, and will have free BBQ for the first 250 men. Those who attend will also hear a word from our President, Dr. Patterson about his outdoor adventures and the way he leverages those experiences for the Gospel. Childcare will be available that evening in the Naylor Children’s Center however, men are encouraged to bring their sons who are over 5 years of age to share in the experience.


Tuesday, August 25

New Student Orientation

10AM-2PM | The Riley Center (For all new students)

International Campus Worship and Dessert Fellowship

6-8PM | Truett Auditorium (Campus-wide, for all students & families)

International Campus Worship is an exciting opportunity for those with various backgrounds and cultures to join together for a night of Worship and Prayer. The evening’s music will be led by our Student Life Praise team and Dr. Dean Sieberhagen will be sharing a message to all those present on the Call we are given by God. Students will spend time in small group and corporate prayer for the semester, for one another, and for the Gospel to spread throughout the nations. The evening will conclude with a dessert fellowship for all who attend.

Library Palooza

1-3PM | Robert's Library (Campus-wide, mini-golf, games, and snacks)

Ever wanted to play mini golf, ladder ball, bowling, and Frisbee Golf in the Library? Here is your chance! Join us for a fun afternoon of games and snacks in Roberts Library on the day before the semester commences.


Thursday, August 27

Post-Convocation Lunch & Student Life Big Reveal

11-1PM | Snack Center West (Campus-wide, 250 complimentary Chick-fil-a meals - first come, first serve)

Interested in the SWBTS Student Life Fall Schedule? Enjoy a free lunch? Stop by the Snack Center on the 27th for a free Chick-fil-a Sandwich and a full calendar of Student Life Events for the Fall! Lunch is available for the first 250 students, faculty, and staff.

Fall Kickoff

6-9PM | The RAC (Campus-wide dodgeball tournament, 300 complimentary hamburgers - first come, first serve)

The Fall Kickoff is a great time to connect with students, faculty, and friends. That evening we will provide a free hamburger supper for the first 300 students. We will also have a student organization and job fair for anyone looking to be more involved in campus organizations or looking for employment opportunities. We will also host our annual dodgeball tournament. Teams can be registered at the RAC.


Friday, August 28

Block Party & Church Fair

5:30-7:30PM | West Lawn (Campus-wide, free hot dogs and nachos)

The Block Party and Church Fair is a time for students to gather together in a fair type atmosphere and learn about churches in our area. Free Hot Dogs and Nachos are provided for everyone in attendance. Churches will also be offering various concession to those who visit their booths.
