“We want to make sure that people are thinking theologically as they are leading musically. When great music is combined with the proclamation of the Word of God, it touches the soul of the listener in a way that speaking or music alone cannot.”Stephen Johnson
The Bachelor of Arts in Music at The College at Southwestern, which is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, contains all of the courses in the Bachelor of Arts in Humanities except the languages, physical education, and fine arts. The Bachelor of Arts in Music offers three areas of concentration: Worship, Performance, and Composition.
This degree prepares you for service in any area of music ministry or performance, with nearly half of the degree building upon the musical skills you gained in your bachelor’s studies. The other half of the degree will train you to connect your love for music with sound theology and the realities of ministry.
