The Havard School for Theological Studies has several degrees that will prepare you for ministry. Studying on the Houston campus, you can complete your degree while serving a local church.
Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies This bachelor’s degree will strengthen your skills in interpreting and understanding the Bible as well as your ability to teach Scripture to others. Alongside general studies courses in English, math, science and history, you’ll take courses in Old and New Testament, systematic theology, interpretive methods, evangelism, missions and Baptist Heritage.
Master’s Degrees The Master of Divinity degree offers the essentials for ministry, training you in the biblical languages, theology, preaching and more. The Master of Arts in Christian Education degree offers a foundation in Christian education and in biblical and theological studies. In either degree program, you can tailor your degree to your specific ministry calling by choosing a concentration in fields like biblical theology, chaplaincy, preaching, teaching, student ministry, administration, women’s ministry and much more. Whatever God calls you to do, Southwestern has a degree program that will help you apply His Word to your ministry.

One of Southwestern’s most advanced theological degrees at the master’s level, the Th.M. program will train you in a specific area of theology. It can also prepare you for the Ph.D. program. (M.Div. required)
