Registration and Information

Welcome to a new year in the Southwestern Music Academy.  We look forward to a rich year of making wonderful music together!

Offering lessons in piano, strings, organ, voice and guitar in our fully-accredited program since 2004, this year we will continue to serve as a testing center for the new Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program (TAP). As a Founding School for TAP we will all have the opportunity as teachers and students to strive for excellence in participating in the yearly assessments in all instruments – and this year in voice as well! The exams this past April were highly motivating for our Academy students in their quest to achieve personal success on their instrument, as well as helping them determine where they stood with other students across the nation. This is a wonderful opportunity that we want many of our Academy students to take advantage of again!

In addition to weekly private lessons and group theory review classes, our Academy has a full semester of activities planned for both children and also adults– check them out at String Events Calendar and Piano, Organ, and Voice Events Calendar.  Housed in the School of Church Music's Cowden Hall, students will be taught and have the opportunity to perform in a top-notch music school facility. This past summer a new Steinway Concert Grand was purchased for our recital hall as well as many new studio pianos – a major success in our goal of becoming an All-Steinway school!

For those beginners wishing to experience violin or piano study for the first time, we offer special exploratory classes for children ages 12 and under.  Check out our Introductory Classes at Class Offerings and Tuition. New discounts for siblings and Seminary Spouses are also available.
