Mark Taylor

Professor of New Testament and Associate Dean for Master's Programs

Dr. Taylor's research for the past several years has focused upon the Letter of James. In addition to published articles in Currents in Biblical Research and Catholic Biblical Quarterly, his dissertation, A Text-Linguistic Investigation into the Discourse Structure of James, has recently been published in T & T Clark's Library of New Testament Studies series. Dr. Taylor is currently under contract to write the New American Commentary vol. 28 on 1 Corinthians.

Prior to Ph.D. studies at Southwestern, Dr. Taylor served various churches in the Southeast (Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas) including the pastorate of the First Baptist Church of Osceola, AR.
