2014 Music Camp

Welcome to Music Camp 2014

At Southwestern’s School of Church Music

JUNE 16 – 20, 2014

Camp registration is now closed.

The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary School of Church Music Summer Music Camp is dedicated to the musical, spiritual, and professional enrichment of each student by providing an environment filled with great music-making opportunities led by a professional Christian faculty. Our primary purpose is to reach the world by training young men and women to be professional musicians who will share their musical testimony throughout the uttermost regions.

Music Camp will be an exhilarating experience for all current high school students. Campers will participate in daily private lessons in voice, piano or organ, as well as classes in music theory and worship. Singers will also study diction, movement and acting; pianists and organists will study pedagogy and will participate in mini-classes covering topics such as technique, Baroque dance, sight reading, and playing chamber music. All campers will participate in joint master classes and a choral ensemble.

To conclude Music Camp, parents and friends are invited to attend a FINAL FRIDAY RECITAL highlighting skills that the campers have learned throughout the week.

In addition to the education and training experiences, campers will take part in supervised extracurricular activities and excursions on campus, as well as in the Fort Worth community.
