Ice Cream Social

7-9PM | The RAC (Campus-wide)

The Ice Cream Social is a great time to connect with incoming and current students in a fellowship atmosphere. There will be free ice cream sundaes, cookies, and drinks for everyone who attends. There will also be bounce houses available for children.


Monday, August 22

College Orientation

9AM-3PM | The Riley Center Room 150 (For all new college students)

Women's Dinner

6-8PM | Riley Center (Campus-wide)

The Women’s Dinner is a great time for students and student wives to fellowship with one another and learn more about the programs available for women at Southwestern. Those who attend will be able to hear from our President’s wife, Mrs. Patterson and will have the opportunity to meet many of our female faculty and faculty wives. Complimentary meails will be available for the first 300 women in attendance. Childcare will be available in the Naylor Children’s Center.

Men's Dinner

6-8PM | Pecan Manor Lawn (Campus-wide)

All Southwestern men are invited to come and share in a time of fellowship together. We will have complimentary meals for the first 300 men in attendance. Childcare will be available that evening in the Naylor Children’s Center however, men are encouraged to bring their sons who are over 5 years of age to share in the experience.

Library Palooza

Ever wanted to play mini golf, ladder ball, bowling, and Frisbee Golf in the Library? Here is your chance! Join us for a fun afternoon of games and snacks in Roberts Library on the day before the semester commences.


Thursday, August 25

Fall Kickoff: Dodgeball, Student Organization & Job Fair

6-9PM | The RAC (Campus-wide dodgeball tournament, 400 complimentary hamburgers - first come, first serve)

The Fall Kickoff is a great time to connect with students, faculty, and friends. That evening we will provide a free hamburger supper for the first 400 students. We will also have a student organization and job fair for anyone looking to be more involved in campus organizations or looking for employment opportunities. We will also host our annual dodgeball tournament. Teams can be registered at the RAC.


Friday, August 26

Block Party & Church Fair

5:30-7:30PM | West Lawn (Campus-wide, free hot dogs)

The Block Party and Church Fair is a time for students to gather together in a fair type atmosphere and learn about churches in our area. Free Hot Dogs are provided for everyone in attendance. Churches will also be offering various concession to those who visit their booths. There will also be bounce houses available for children.
