Emir Caner, dean of The College at Southwestern, will appear Sept. 11 on the Day of Discovery television program in a series titled, “The Three Faiths of Jerusalem: Worldview.” The producers of Day of Discovery said Caner would participate in an examination of the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian perspectives of events in the Holy Land.
“While the worldviews of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all include a belief in one god, the differences among the three faiths of Jerusalem often obscure what they have in common,” Beth Guthrie, production assistant for the program, said in a press release. “For a better understanding of these three worldviews, Day of Discovery’s Mart DeHaan and Jimmy DeYoung have returned to this ancient city to look through windows that not only provide light and perspective, but also reveal three similar yet distinct perspectives on the world.”
Day of Discovery is the weekly, 30-minute inspirational television program of RBC Ministries. It airs on the PAX Network at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays. A complete listing of air times around the country can be found by following the Day of Discovery link at www.rbc.net.
