Sixth Annual Gala Concert of Sacred Music Feb. 10

FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will perform its sixth annual Gala Concert of Sacred Music at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall on the corner of 4th and Calhoun streets in downtown Fort Worth, Feb. 10, at 8 p.m.

Southwestern Seminary’s 200-voice Master Chorale and the 90-piece Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will present both ancient and modern hymns. This year’s event will feature internationally known tenor Huw Priday, contributing to a rendition of Here is Love, a hymn from his homeland, Wales. Concert guests, filling the 1800-seat auditorium, will join the orchestra and choir in a time of congregational singing. The concert will conclude, as always, with Handel’s beloved Hallelujah chorus.

The Gala Concert began in 2004 and has grown to be one of Southwestern Seminary’s highlighted musical events. Tickets for this year’s event are selling quickly, but excellent seats are still available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.swbts.edu/gala or by calling us at 817-923-1921 ext. 7200.
