Southwestern Mourns Passing of Bill Justice
FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – The Southwestern Seminary family mourns the passing of Bill Justice, father-in-law of former Southwestern evangelism professor Malcolm McDow. Justice passed away early morning on Aug. 13.
“Southwestern is particularly grateful for all of the contributions that Dr. Justice made to the school in so many ways,” said Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Seminary. “While he was a financial supporter he was also a diligent prayer supporter.
“We are also grateful for Malcolm and Melba McDow, his son-in-law and daughter, for the years that they gave here. His whole family has been staunch supporters, and we will miss him greatly.”
Justice received Southwestern’s B.H. Carroll award in 1992 and was a J. Howard Williams ministry partner. He is preceded in death by his wife, Melba. They have three children.
Justice contributed to several areas of the seminary that help equip its students for ministry, such as the general scholarship fund, the evangelism practicum, and the W. H. and Melba Justice International Student Award. He was also one of the original founders of the President’s Club.
