Financial conference coming to Southwestern

FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is partnering with the Southern Baptist Convention and Crown Financial Ministries to provide a financial conference, April 23. The “It’s a New Day” conference will be held in Southwestern’s Riley Center from 8:30-5:00 p.m.

The one-day event will teach participants how to break free from financial debt and live on what God provides. Keynote speaker for the conference is Dave Scobey, director of seminars for Crown Financial Ministries. Scobey’s areas of expertise include basic money management, credit, spending analysis and debt avoidance and elimination strategies.

Free conference registration is available for Southwestern students, spouses and faculty. Lunch will be provided, and students attending the conference will be excused from their classes. Students and faculty must register by April 17 at www.swbts.edu/newday. Check-in is required for all students on the day of the conference.
