Seen around campus: Cell phone towers

FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Upon the top of Cowden Hall perches a new way Southwestern supports students and faculty. A cell tower on the roof of the building contributes to cell phone reception in this area of Fort Worth and generates a small amount of revenue for Southwestern as well.

This practice is common, especially in big cities: cell phone companies lease roof space from the owners of tall buildings. Southwestern signed an agreement with a cell company as a way to serve the community and provide additional revenue for the seminary.
