FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary now accepts the VISA card in its business office, as well as for online tuition and fee payment.
Before a recent lawsuit caused VISA to change some of its policies, Southwestern Seminary was only able to accept MasterCard, Discover and American Express in the business office and online. According to Kevin Ensley, vice president of business administration at Southwestern, the change in VISA’s policies will benefit many students.
“Most people have VISA cards in their pocket,” Ensley said. “It is the number one card out there. So it is going to give more students the opportunity to pay online. … It makes it convenient for the students.”
However, Ensley added, students should remember that a convenience fee is charged with the use of any debit or credit card.
