FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Students and faculty members from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will go the second mile to take the Gospel to communities surrounding the campus this fall.
Last year, the seminary family completed their initiative to share the Gospel with every household within a one-mile radius of campus. Now, they are expanding their efforts to a second mile, and all students and faculty members can participate.
David Mills, assistant professor of evangelism at Southwestern, insists that God has entrusted students and faculty members at the seminary with reaching the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
With the DFW metroplex growing by more than 250,000 people since 2010, Mills used this explosive growth to encourage students to participate in the Going the Second Mile initiative. “There are more and more people to reach with the Gospel. It appears the Lord trusts us to reach them.”
Faculty and staff members from the seminary will lead students into the community on a weekly basis for evangelism. To learn about how you can participate in this effort, visit swbts.edu/secondmile.
