First Lady speaks at annual Mother-Daughter luncheon in Atlanta
ATLANTA (SWBTS) – First Lady Dorothy Patterson spoke to women of all ages at First Baptist Church Atlanta’s annual Mother-Daughter luncheon in Atlanta, Ga., May 4, just days before Mother’s Day, encouraging the women with examples of mothering from the Old Testament.
Patterson, a mother and grandmother herself, explained that no woman, no matter her child-bearing situation, “misses out on the mothering DNA.” She said God has equipped every woman with nurturing instincts and a “sheer love of life,” preparing and enabling them to minister to all those the Lord brings into their lives.
More than 300 women and girls, ranging in age from eight to 94, attended the luncheon.
