We live in a world that constantly seeks counsel of one kind or another for the answer to every difficulty. The church is uniquely positioned and gifted to offer counsel to struggling people. For the most part, the church has abdicated its responsibility to offer counsel and passed hurting people off to professional psychologists and psychotherapists.
Believing that God’s Word is sufficient for the counseling task, we offer a training program designed to equip believers to minister Scripture to hurting people in a way that offers both encouraging hope and life-changing help. The program consists of three Phases of training completed through the satisfaction of seven individual courses. The successful completion of all three levels leads to a certification in biblical counseling.
The 2015 GES National Conference, will be held at the Riley Center on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary May 11th, 2015 through May 14th.
