The Kingdom Professionals for a Global Impact Conference, sponsored by the Richard Land Center for Cultural Engagement, addresses the dynamics of Christian business people interested in engaging the world with their skills for the common good and God’s good for all peoples everywhere. Christian leaders and businesses can influence and impact individuals, families and communities around the world for spiritual and moral benefit through development, industry and service. They can contribute and enhance the life of people and nations through their unique and special skills in the fields of medicine, sports, engineering, technology, education and numerous other fields of expertise.

Dr. Paige Patterson

Dr. Paige Patterson earned his Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as the President of The Criswell College 1975-1992 and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary 1992-2003. He currently serves as the President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His experience also includes a number of years serving as pastor. He is a member of the Board of Reference for the Council for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Dr. Patterson’s publications include The Church in the 21st Century. Magnolia Hill Papers, 2001. Dr. Richard Land earned his D. Phil. from Oxford.  Dr. Land has served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission since 1988. During his tenure as spokesman on Capitol Hill for the largest non-Catholic denomination in the country, Dr. Land has represented Southern Baptists’ interests in the halls of Congress, before U.S. Presidents, and in the major media.  As host of For Faith & Family and For Faith & Family's Insight, two nationally syndicated radio programs, Dr. Land speaks passionately and authoritatively on the social, ethical, and public policy issues facing our country.  Dr. Land is also Executive Editor of Faith & Family Values, a national magazine dedicated to coverage of traditional religious values, Christian ethics, and cultural trends.  Dr. Land’s publications include Imagine! Mr. Kent Humphreys has been a business leader for forty years. He is a renowned speaker who has spoken in both national and international business forums and seminars. Mr. Humphreys is also an established author, co-writing many books with his wife of forty-five years, Davidene. He has a business background in several different fields including distribution, real estate, venture capital, and consulting.In addition to business, Mr. Humphreys spends most of his time today speaking to leaders, writing, and mentoring young marketplace leaders. The focus of his personal interests and hobbies are his family and the travel he does both inside and outside the business world. Mr. Humphreys and his wife, Davidene, reside in Oklahoma with their three children and eight grandchildren.


Dr. Gordon Fort serves as Vice President of the Office of Global Strategy for the International Mission Board. Dr. Fort earned a BS degree from Texas A&M and an MDiv and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. After pastoring a church in Caldwell, Texas, he was first appointed to serve as a missionary with the International Mission Board in February of 1985. After completing nineteen years of service on the mission field, Dr. Fort resigned from missionary service in July of 2004 to join the International Mission Board home office staff as Vice President for the Office of Overseas Operations.  He served in that position until being appointed to his current role in July of 2009.  Dr. Fort and his wife, Leigh Ann, have four wonderful children and currently reside in the Richmond, VA area.


Dr. Scott Holste currently serves as Vice President for Global Strategic Mobilization with the International Mission Board. Dr. Holste and his wife, Janie, began their service with the IMB in 1987 when they were appointed to serve as missionaries in Asia.  In 1999 Dr. Holste joined the home office staff of the International Mission Board as Director of Global Research. Before being appointed as Vice President for Global Strategic Mobilization, he served from 2005-2009 as Associate Vice President for the IMB's research and strategic services.  In his current position, Dr. Holste's goal is to mobilize business leaders and marketplace professionals whose global experience and connections place them in a position of access across the globe.
