W. Madison Grace II
Associate Professor of Baptist History and Theology, Director of the Oxford Study Program, and Editor of Southwestern Journal of Theology
W. Madison Grace was born in the culture of the Deep South in Yazoo City, Mississippi, but spent the majority of his childhood and youth in South Florida. After High school Dr. Grace moved back to Mississippi where he graduated with a B.A. in Christian Studies from Mississippi College. Feeling a call to minister he then moved to Fort Worth and Southwestern Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Systematic Theology. After his call to ministry Dr. Grace has served on several church staffs in Mississippi and in Texas. He and his family continue to minister in the local church as members of First Baptist Church Burleson, Texas. He has been on faculty at Southwestern since the Fall of 2014. Dr. Grace is the proud husband of Shareen and the father of three boys.
