Application for Admission
All prospective students to the School of Church Music and Worship, whether applying through Scarborough College for an undergraduate degree or through Southwestern Seminary for a graduate degree, apply for admission through the Office of Admissions.
New Student Orientation
Fall orientation for new music students will begin August 11, 2020.
Audition and Orientation Requirements
All incoming music students will audition for their respective applied area. Students are encouraged to schedule auditions prior to the fall semester. Please contact Dr. Ben Caston (BCaston@swbts.edu), Associate Dean of Undergraduate Music Studies, to schedule a campus audition. For students who cannot travel to campus, a video recording may be submitted to Dr. Caston through a variety of means, such as a DVD, direct file download, or streaming video.

Audition and Placement Requirements
For admittance into an applied concentration, students are required to audition in advance of matriculation, either in person on the Fort Worth campus or by submitting a digital audition. Applicants for master’s degrees should contact Dr. David Toledo (DToledo@swbts.edu), Assistant Dean of the Performance Division, to schedule a campus audition. For students who cannot travel to campus, a video recording may be submitted to Dr. Toledo through a variety of means, such as a DVD, direct file download, or streaming video. Doctoral applicants should contact Dr. R. Allen Lott (RLott@swbts.edu), Senior Associate Dean of the Academic Division, concerning auditions.
