The semester-long intramural flag football season sponsored by the Recreation/Aerobics Center came to a close Nov. 7 as four teams competed in the championship tournament. Teams, identified by their T-shirt colors, played two semi-final games, and then the winners of those games played for the championship.
The championship game pitted the black team against the green team. Although the first half was a back and forth battle resulting in a 7-7 tie, the black team surged in the second half to win the game 21-7.
As an extension of the office of student life, intramural sports provide opportunities for students on campus to get to know one another through friendly competition. Sports scheduled for the spring include basketball and ultimate frisbee. Stop by the RAC for more information.
