Online resources aid students, pastors
FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – In the digital age, thousands of resources are available at the click of a mouse or swipe of a finger. Southwestern’s online presence includes a plethora of free resources, including audio files, eBooks, articles and other tools for students and pastors.
Media Resources: The seminary’s website contains numerous audio, video, and print resources. On the media resources page, swbts.edu/mediaresources, you can access and download chapel sermons, conference audio, lecture series, and student forums.
EPubs: Four eBooks, available in Kindle and ePub formats, can be downloaded for free at swbts.edu/epubs. The books contain contributions by Southwestern faculty on matters related to baptism, the call to ministry, the Conservative Resurgence and text-driven preaching.
Blogs: Last fall, Southwestern launched two blogs, which are regularly updated with articles from seminary faculty and staff. Professors offer their diverse expertise in the areas of New Testament, Old Testament, philosophy, ethics, systematic theology, preaching, pastoral ministry and others for the building up of the local church at TheologicalMatters.com. The Women’s Programs at Southwestern also launched a website at BiblicalWoman.org, which features the blog BW Voices and other resources.
Baptist Theology: Access academic papers, book reviews, articles from the Southwestern Journal of Theology and other resources at BaptistTheology.org.
Southwestern News: The seminary’s quarterly magazine, Southwestern News, highlights God’s work around the world through students, professors, and alumni. Past magazines have focused on adoption, biblical manhood and womanhood, the College at Southwestern, evangelism, missions, preaching, etc. Access the magazine online at swbts.edu/southwesternnews.
Apps: Southwestern has apps for iPhone and iPad that feature a news feed, preaching resources and evangelism tools. Go to the iTunes app store or visit swbts.edu/apps.
