Bob Reccord, immediate-past president of the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention, will deliver the commencement address during Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s spring commencement ceremony at Travis Avenue Baptist Church, Friday May 5.

The ceremony, traditionally referred to as a “commissioning service,” begins at 10 a.m. at the church, located at 3041 Travis Avenue in Fort Worth. The public and media are invited to attend.

“How delighted we are to welcome Dr. Bob Reccord as our graduation speaker,” Southwestern Seminary President Paige Patterson said. “Dr. Reccord has spoken around the world as president of NAMB as a speaker for other evangelical organizations. His love for the evangelization of the lost is contagious and will give our graduates the launch they need.”

Reccord is a two-time graduate of Southwestern Seminary. He earned a master of divinity degree in 1975, and a doctor of ministry degree in 1979.
