FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Stephen Johnson, Southwestern Seminary’s dean of the School of Church Music urges people not to forget the devastation of the earthquake in Haiti through a composition honoring a missionary who died during the disaster. Southwestern’s Master Chorale premiered the piece at the renowned Lincoln Center in New York and in the Fort Worth area.
In an interview with Fort Worth’s Star-Telegram, Johnson relates the goal of the piece is “to present a Christian response to tragedy, one that’s full of hope.”
