COLUMBUS, Ohio—On June 15, Southwestern Seminary hosted its first-ever “Tea at 3” during the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention. The event was standing-room-only as nearly 200 women filled the space to share tea, scones and fellowship.

Dorothy Patterson, wife of Southwestern Seminary President Paige Patterson, said she was “overwhelmed by the response of Southern Baptist women” to the event. “I am more convinced than ever that woman-to-woman connections are the most important thing we have in Southern Baptist life.”
