Kim named to Asian American Advisory Council
FORT WORTH, Texas (SWBTS) – Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary alumnus Paul Kim was recently named to serve on the Southern Baptist Convention’s Asian American Advisory Council.
The council was developed in 2013 by the SBC Executive Committee and NAMB in their attempt to encourage fruitful ministry among the diverse ethnic groups represented within SBC churches.
In 2009, Kim made a motion in the annual meeting of the SBC that led to the approval of the 2011 SBC ethnic study committee report. Kim, who is pastor emeritus at Antioch Baptist Church in Cambridge, Mass., earned two master’s degrees from Southwestern and served for a time as president of the seminary’s National Alumni Association.
