Southwestern Seminary announces fall 2022 chapel schedule

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary released today its fall 2022 chapel schedule, which begins with President Adam W. Greenway delivering his Fall Convocation address on August 23. Benjamin M. Skaug, provost and vice president for academic administration, will speak the following Thursday on August 25.

Southwestern alumni guest speakers include C. Bart Barber, newly elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention and pastor of First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas; Jeff P. Iorg, president of Gateway Seminary, Ontario, California; Bob McCartney, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas; Chris Martin, executive director/treasurer of the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention, Honolulu, Hawaii; Ryan Jespersen, executive director of the Dallas Baptist Association, Dallas, Texas; Cole Hedgecock, senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rowlett, Texas; Gregg Matte, senior pastor of Houston’s First Baptist Church, Houston, Texas; and Julio Arriola, director of the SEND Network of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, Grapevine, Texas.

Other guest speakers include Brad Lewter, seminary trustee and lead pastor of Grand Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Fred Luter, senior pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church of New Orleans, Louisiana; Morris H. Chapman, president emeritus of the SBC Executive Committee, Nashville, Tennessee; Ronnie Parrott, lead pastor of Christ Community Church of Huntersville, North Carolina; Zane G. Pratt, vice president for Global Training for the International Mission Board, Richmond, Virginia; Brian Mills, senior pastor, Trinity Baptist Church of Yukon, Oklahoma; Dale Braswell, lead pastor of Wedgwood Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas; Rick Lance, executive director-treasurer of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, Prattville, Alabama; J.D. “Sonny” Tucker, executive director-treasurer of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, Little Rock, Arkansas; Sam S. Members of the faculty who are scheduled to speak are Chris S. Osborne, professor of preaching and pastoral ministry; John D. Massey, dean of the Roy J. Fish School of Evangelism and Missions; and Mark R. McClellan, director of Hispanic Programs and professor of missions.
