The top students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Baptist College were honored for their academic achievements at the student awards banquet held April 14 in conjunction with the annual meetings of the Southwestern Advisory Council (SWAC). SWAC is a group of ministry partners, advisors, and ambassadors who help advance the mission of the seminary and TBC.

“I am extremely impressed by the recipients of this year’s Southwestern Seminary’s student awards,” said Matt Queen, interim provost and vice president for academic administration. “These gifted men and women have excelled in scholarship and service both inside and outside the classroom. They make Southwesterners everywhere proud by the ways in which they live their calling through practicing the Great Commandment and fulfilling the Great Commission.”

Students who meet the criteria for each award are nominated and voted on by the faculty of their respective schools.
