Due to some water damage and ongoing repairs, the Women's Center has a new temporary home in Price Hall 104. The Women's Center staff is there to provide a place to connect with Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College women. For more information go to SWBTS Women.
The annual Supply Day will be Monday, August 8, at the Recreation/Aerobics Center (RAC). All F-1 students can get household items from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. All Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College students can come from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, which began in 1971, is sponsored by the Tarrant County Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and the International Student Services Office. More than a dozen area churches donate items such as gently used furniture, kitchen appliances, bedding, home décor, kitchen wares, books, and children’s toys. The newly relaunched Southwestern Alumni Association is now available to the 41,000 living alumni serving around the globe. In addition to fostering relationships, members can receive discounts for hotel stays at the Riley Center, in-house conferences, as well as books and merchandise at the Seminary Hill Bookstore. The Southwestern Music Academy (SMA) offers music lessons to adults who want to brush up on their keyboard skills, learn to play the guitar, or desire to lead a worship band. Classes are also available for drums, voice, and French horn. For more information click here.
The B. H. Carroll Center for Baptist Heritage and Mission, which holds archival materials, special collections, and rare books, is temporarily closed for the month of July, but will reopen again in August. For more information about the Center click here.
