Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary officials announced that the Southwestern Oratorio Chorus’s performance of Handel’s "Messiah" originally scheduled in the seminary’s Truett Auditorium for Thursday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m., has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

“We regret having to cancel this evening’s performance,” said Stephen Johnson, dean of the seminary’s School of Church Music. “However, we are currently working on rescheduling it for another date sometime soon.”

Southwestern Seminary has been performing Handel’s "Messiah" at Christmas time for free each year for nearly 80 years as a gift for the Fort Worth community.
