Serving and Protecting the Seminary Campus and the Community

Southwestern Seminary Campus Police and Security Department work side by side to ensure maximum safety for all students, staff, faculty and visitors. All Campus Police Officers are commissioned through TCOLE (Texas Commission On Law Enforcement).  All Campus Security Officers are commissioned as Level 3 Officers through the PSB (Private Security Borough).

SWBTS officers also provide special services unique to our campus setting. Those services include maintaining security of the campus buildings, property, and campus housing; providing crime prevention information to students, staff and faculty, providing safety escorts on the campus, self-defense classes, vehicle and room unlocks, and vehicle jumpstarts.

The department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and can be reached at 817-921-8888. A staff of professional Police and Security dispatchers is on hand to take your call and direct the proper personnel to assist you.  It is highly encouraged that all students, faculty, and staff program the 817-921-8888 number into their cell phone.
