The Winter Encounter Scholarship is available for Southwestern and Scarborough students taking classes during the winter semester. The Encounter Scholarship is specifically designed to enable distance students to take an on campus class at Southwestern. A distance student is defined as a student who lives too far from Southwestern to take courses on campus. Therefore, priority will be given to distance students taking a class on the Fort Worth campus.

Students are also required to have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be an SBC student, and demonstrate academic ability.

The Encounter Scholarship application opens on October 14th and the deadline is December 1st.
