Dr. Aniol serves as Associate Professor and Doctoral Studies Director for the School of Church Music and Worship, as well as editor of Artistic Theologian, Southwestern’s journal for the School of Church Music and Worship.

Dr. Aniol has authored several books including, Draw Near: The Heart of Communion with God (Wipf and Stock, 2020) and By the Waters of Babylon: Worship in a Post-Christian Culture (Kregel, 2015). Let the Little Children Come: Family Worship on Sundays (And the other Six Days Too) (Free Grace, 2021).Additionally, he has contributed journal articles to a variety of journals, including the Journal of Spiritual Formation and Soul Care, Journal of Ministry and Theology, Artistic Theologian, Master’s Seminary Journal and Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal. Dr. Aniol is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society where he chairs the Biblical Worship Section.

Dr. Aniol serves as an elder in Church of Christ the King in Fort Worth, Texas where he attends with his wife, Becky and their four children.
