Dr. Parker serves as affiliate professor of leadership and educational ministries. Prior to his service at Southwestern, Dr. Parker served for 15 years in teaching and administration in at several institutions of Christian Higher Education. He also brings more than 20 years of pastoral ministry experience to the classroom.
Dr. Parker is the co-author of The Pastor’s Life: Practical Wisdom from the Puritans (Christian Focus, 2019) and Leading from the Foundation Up: How Fearing God Builds Stronger Leaders (RHB, 2023), as well as the co-author with Michael Wilder Transformission: Making Disciples through Short-term Missions (B&H, 2010). Additionally, he has contributed journal articles to the Christian Educational Journal, the Journal of Discipleship and Family Ministry, and the Puritan Reformed Journal. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Professors in Christian Education, and regularly attends and presents at their national conferences.
