Students gain competency in both Greek and Hebrew, which equips them to engage the Scriptures in their original languages, ensuring that the lessons they draw from God’s Word are rooted in the Bible’s original meaning. Classes in worldview, evangelism, missions, preaching, and Christian leadership ensure that students have the practical knowledge and ministry experience they need to put their education into practice without sacrificing biblical truth.
Training for a changing world.
Students graduate prepared to put the truths of Scripture into daily practice in a post-COVID, ever-changing world. Students graduate prepared to engage culture on pressing issues such as the LGBTQ movement, marriage, artificial intelligence, transhumanism, abortion, euthanasia, work, and family. Leadership and administration courses provide practical resources in areas such as MinistrySafe training, business meetings, human resources, and finances.
Fully prepare for the pastorate.
In addition to preparing students for a wide variety of ministry and lay leadership positions, this broad curriculum of biblical study, practical ministry, and preaching is ideal preparation for the work of pastoring. A Master of Divinity equips students with a deep well of Scriptural knowledge and a broad set of ministry skills, both of which are essential for engaging the varied and challenging work of serving a local church as their pastor.

- This degree is designed to prepare students for the broadest range of Christian ministries, especially in the local church. This is the master’s degree best suited for the student preparing for a pastoral or preaching ministry, as well as those seeking to flourish as servant leaders of other ministries focused on precise and practical teaching of the Bible.

- The Advanced M.Div. prepares students for the broadest range of Christian ministries, especially in local churches. This program allows students to build upon undergraduate theological training by taking elective courses in place of the introductory courses in the regular MDiv curriculum.

- The Master of Divinity in Worship Leadership (MDivWL) combines robust theological study with competency-based skill development in the area of music and worship. This degree prepares future church leaders to serve in a variety of leadership roles, including preaching, teaching, and worship leadership.

- This concentration equips students to start and develop churches abroad. The uniqueness of this degree allows students to complete their course of study while serving in international settings. The church planting experience primarily occurs under the direction of the Southern Baptist Convention International Mission Board’s 2 to 3 year appointment programs.
