Dr. Kevin Wade Rodgers is a distinguished figure in the field of theological education and international missions. He has previously served as a church planter, theological educator, and Outbound Team Leader for the International Mission Board (IMB) in Sub-Saharan Africa. His career spans over three decades of dedicated service, marked by extensive teaching, leadership, and pastoral roles in Africa and the United States.
Originally from Eastern North Carolina, Dr. Rodgers is married to Suzie Mann Rodgers since September 10, 1988, and they have three children together.
Dr. Rodgers has impacted theological education and missions strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa, and is now serving on faculty at Southwestern embodying a lifelong commitment to spreading the gospel and equipping future leaders in the field. His passion is to encourage local churches as they send to the nations and to equip those “sent ones” to be effective in the missionary task around the world.

Meet Kevin Rodgers
Kevin Rodgers came to Southwestern Seminary in 2024, fresh from the African mission field where he served for almost three decades as a seminary lecturer, church planter, team leader for the International Mission Board (IMB), and more. His students are excited by the real-world experience the professor of missions brings to the classroom.
