Logos+Southwestern FAQs

Southwestern’s mission to equip our students for ministry means providing them with access and training to the cutting-edge resources necessary for ministry in the 21st century. Southwestern has coordinated with Logos Bible Software, the premier Bible study software to equip Southwesterners with the content and tools to effectively study, research, and learn in their course of study. These are skills students need to teach and preach God’s word using the best tools available for todays ministry.

By enrolling in Southwestern’s core courses (see below), students will receive a subscription to Logos Premium along with their course textbooks. With Logos students can engage their textbooks, the text of Scripture, and the host of additional books and resources provided on your preferred electronic device. Wherever a students calling might take them their resources follow.

Additionally, Logos integrates into courses on Canvas. With a click Students can move from their course to utilizing their content and resources in Logos.

Below are a set of FAQs to maximize your use of Logos at Southwestern.

What content/resources are included?

For participating courses students receive:

  • Course textbooks in Logos*
  • The Logos Academic Basics Library
    • 50% Academic Discount on select resources in Logos
  • A Logos Premium subscription for the Academic Year enrolled (August - July):
    • Subscription library content and resources valued at $7,800
    • A free monthly book from Logos for their subscription
    • Additional discounts on Logos purchases through the subscription
    • 5% annual reward on qualifying purchases in Logos.

*On rare occasions, if a professor’s textbook is not available in Logos, the professor can direct the students to attain their textbook by other means.
