Music Scholarships
Full Tuition Residential Scholarships
Graduate Worship Studies: Two students will be selected to receive tuition for the 59-credit hour Master of Music in Worship Leadership
Performance and Pedagogy: Two students will be selected to receive tuition for the 49-credit hour Master of Music in Church Music (Performance and Pedagogy – piano, voice, or guitar)
PhD Assistantship in Christian Worship: One student will be selected to receive a residential doctoral assistantship (tuition for the first year) in the PhD in Christian Worship.
Applications are open to SBC students not currently enrolled at Southwestern Seminary. If chosen, qualified non-SBC students will receive funding for the SBC portion of their tuition.
In-person auditions and interviews for the scholarships are encouraged, but virtual auditions and interviews will be accepted. Qualified students must be accepted through the admissions department to SWBTS and will also provide the following materials for scholarship consideration:
- Two letters of recommendation specific to the SCMW scholarship
- Personal ministry vision statement
- Scholarship application form
All materials (include application forms) must be submitted no later than July 1, 2024.
Prospective students can pursue these scholarships by first applying for admission at SWBTS here. Indicate your interest in these scholarships by using "SCMW Scholarship" as the waiver code for your application.
Ensemble Scholarships & Scholarship Auditions
A limited number of scholarships are available through audition from the School of Church Music and Worship for students participating in our ministry-based ensembles. Information regarding SCMW scholarship auditions can be found here: https://swbts.edu/auditions.
