Certificate in Student Ministry Leadership

Essential training for student ministry leaders

The certificate in Student Ministry Leadership provides essential training for local church staff and volunteer ministers and leaders in student ministry.

Certificate Highlights

  • 4 courses
  • On-and-off-campus learning
  • Start during any semester, complete in 2 years

Upon completion of the four courses in the program, students will receive an official certificate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The awarded certificate demonstrates evidence of concentrated study in student ministry.

Courses will be offered in the certificate program the same semesters they are offered in the degreed Master’s program on the seminary campus. The beginning and ending days of a certificate course will match those for the Master’s course. Thus, earning the certificate will require two years to complete the four academic semesters. Students may begin their studies with any semester.
