Southwestern Seminary announces spring chapel schedule
The schedule for the spring 2024 chapel services was released today by Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The chapel schedule begins on January 23, with Convocation led by President David S. Dockery. O.S. Hawkins, chancellor of Southwestern Seminary, will preach the Jan. 25 chapel sermon.
Guest speakers include Gilberto Corredera, pastor at Prestonwood en Español in Plano, Texas, Michael Ortiz, vice president of Dallas Theological Seminary, Ligon Duncan, chancellor of Reformed Theological Seminary, and Timothy George, distinguished professor of divinity and founding dean of Beeson Divinity School.
There will be special chapel services on March 19 for the seminary’s Founder’s Day; April 9 for the Day of Prayer for Southwestern; and April 18 which is a special SBTC Day of Prayer.
In similar fashion to the spring 2023 chapel schedule, Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College (TBC) faculty will preach a majority of the chapel messages as they preach through 1 and 2 Thessalonians.
Chapel services are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the MacGorman Chapel and Performing Arts Center on the campus of Southwestern Seminary. Services are also broadcast live at swbts.edu/live.
