Resident Assistant Application
Qualifications for Resident Assistantship
- Must have a clear Christian testimony and exhibit a maturing relationship with Christ.
- Must be a member in good standing or equivalent in a local church.
- Must have completed at least 1 semester of TBC or SWBTS course load prior to the start of the RA starting term.
- Must be under the age of 29.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 at time of application and maintained through the terms of service. A 3.0 is preferred.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 on-campus credit hours through Texas Baptist College or Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary through the terms of service.
- Must be committed to serve for both semesters of the academic year.
- Must live in adherence to TBC and SWBTS policies as outlined in the Student Handbook and be able to graciously enforce them.
- Must be able to maintain a significant level of confidentiality and discretion.

Timeline of Application Process
- February 12, 2024: RA Applications for 2024-2025 open
- February 14, 2024: Informational Meeting 10am-11am in Fleming 111
- March 4, 2024: RA Applications close at 12pm
- March 6, 2024: Professional and Personal Reference Forms deadline
- March 19 - March 28, 2024: Interviews
- April 2, 2024: Decision Emails sent
- April 4, 2024: Acceptance Deadline
- April 5, 2024: Signed 2024-2025 RA Agreement Deadline
Application Steps
- Complete application by March 4, 12pm, including an upload of a 1-page resume. You may save the application to complete at a later time, but we encourage you to save your responses in an alternative location in case the form crashes.
- Send personal and professional references form links to complete. Reference forms must be completed by March 6, 2024, 11:59pm.
