Joseph R. Crider is the Dean of the School of Church Music and Worship at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

With 30 years of ministry and academic experience, Crider is a frequent speaker and clinician at worship conferences and churches. He has written several articles on worship and a book entitled, Uzzah’s Dead: A Call to Scripture-Guided Worship is forthcoming. His passion is in the area of training the next generation of worship leaders and encouraging pastors and worship leaders to embrace the Bible as their guide for corporate worship.

Prior to serving on the faculty at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Crider taught at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Liberty University, Southwest Baptist University, and Westmont College. He has also served on pastoral staffs at churches in Colorado, California, Missouri, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Joe has been married to Amy for 34 years and they have six children and two grandchildren.

The RAC offers private/individual or group swim lessons for children ages 1-12 and teens 13-16. Swim lessons will begin on Saturday, May 15. Registration forms can be picked up at the RAC Control Desk or downloaded at under the "RAC Swim Lessons" tab.
