Dr. Brown serves as Assistant Professor of Church Music and Worship at Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College. For over twenty years prior to his arrival at Southwestern, Dr. Brown served as Worship Pastor for churches in Indiana, Virginia, and Kentucky. During his time in worship ministry, Dr. Brown also taught as an adjunct faculty for Boyce College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Among his current responsibilities in the School of Church Music and Worship, Dr. Brown helps coordinate the worship leadership program for students in Texas Baptist College. Dr. Brown is passionate about training the next generation of worship leaders to be biblically faithful, musically excellent, and ministry driven.

Dr. Brown is married to Cyndi, a National Board-Certified teacher. Cyndi teaches at Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth, where their daughter, Miriam attends. The Browns love serving in the Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church Benbrook, Texas.

Meet Marc Brown

Joining Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Baptist College (TBC) faculty in 2022, Marc Brown, assistant professor of church music and worship, tries to help each student learn about how they can serve in the local church. Through supporting students in extra-curricular activities like the weekly masterclass held on Monday nights and going to Coffee and Music Nights in the campus coffee shop, Brown wants students to know he is there with them.
