The Women’s Leadership Institute at Southwestern provides a variety of certificate programs that exist to equip women for Great Commission service in their homes, churches, and other ministry settings. Certificate options exist for seminary and ministers’ wives, lay leaders, church staff, and other ministry leaders.
Student wives are a priority at Southwestern Seminary. This unique program combines practical, spiritual, and academic studies to equip a ministering wife to join her husband as an effective partner in ministry. Student wives have three certificates from which to choose, including one that will meet IMB spouse requirements. This certificate track is helpful to any wife of a pastor or minister. These certificate courses are offered in a 6-week format, in both residential and asynchronous online setting, at a reduced rate, and are not eligible to transfer into a degree program.

Two certificates are offered for focused graduate and undergraduate study. Using our standard concentration courses allows the student to transfer into a degree program should she decide to go further in her educational journey. These courses are offered both in residential as well as flexible access contexts. Fees for these courses are the standard course fee and are fully transferable.
